I'll try and tell the whole story! So my spare car a 165k 306 HDI was running fine, then lost a load of power, tried a 206 AFM, same plug but slightly different diameter (school boy error) ever since I tried that the car idles at 1500ish rpm, zero throttle and load of error codes, fuel rail, throttle position, air intake temp, fuel temp signal. Since then I have tried a brand new AFM and a different TPS as well as clearing the codes. All sensors have 5v, cleaned all the loom earths, all fuses good, can't see any broken wires. All the above error codes run from the same 5v feed apparently.

Have I buggered my ECU?

Cheers, Ali
Sounds like an earth issue if you have 5v at the sensor.

Some people used to do an earth mod. That might have been done badly on your car?

Best to do a continuity check between the neg pins of the sensors and the pin on the plug on the ECU.

5v is common voltage for sensors
Alright, continuity on all earths from ecu, between all the correct sensors and ecu. I'm confident I've got zero broken wires. I think it's a ECU issue.
Just give the maf two independent earths.

Can get continuity fine...doesn't mean its clean earth
Maf isn't the issue. On live data the ecu isn't reading the throttle position even with different tps tried.
What about corrosion on the main loom plug that goes on the chassis leg?

Think you guys might be missing the main point here, Allye has plugged in a 206 1.4 hdi maf and all of these problems occurred afterwards
Ah lol, thought he meant a 206 2.0 maf lol

Unfortunately not! School boy moment there.
Best to find the pin outs of the 1.4 maf and see what went on, you might have fried the ecu or the other components?
Every test I've done (spent hours with the multimeter today) points towards ECU, no one seems to have come across this before and Google hasn't helped.
What a dick!
Sounds daft, but have you tried unplugging the battery and ecu for an hour? Does the ecu commumicate with diagnostics ok?
1.4 HDI MAF

pins
1= MAF signal to ecu
2= IAT signal to ecu
3= Ground through ECU
4= +12V

306 HDI Maf
pins
1= IAT signal to ecu
2= +12V
3= common ground
4
5= MAF signal to ecu
6= common ground
Ah would explain a few things
We can send you an ecu and if it doesn't fix your problems happy to return less the postage. What codes are on your ecu? Send me an email remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk
He fixed it in the end by doing the tps earth mod
