Thought I'd start up an interesting post seeing as we all talk to each other about our pugs Smile



What do you guys do for work?

I'm a specialist recruiter for LED and solid state lighting technologies - Globally

I'm a technical consultant working with devops for a large consultancy.

I also run a Watersports centre with throughput of 60 students per day during the summer.

And finally I do some private web design and hosting along with some vinyl cutting work.

I'm a... High Performance Computing support and integration engineer for a software company based in Oxfordshire, however I do more of the software side than the hardware side these days... I now spend my time at work making other peoples' badly written software work, and make it work in a sane and efficient manner.
I'm a "Maintenance shift specialist" that's what it says on my name badge Wink
basically I'm a shift electrician that works for a local hospital trust
my role is repair most things within the hospital, call handle out of hours and pass on work to a group of on call staff
Self employed doing mechanical engineering, fabrication work, mechanic at a rallying company specialising in Renault 5 turbo's and coded welder

Just need to find my own thing to do now 'Smile
I sit in an office and get paid to trash cars & find bargains for myself...

Not even joking Big Grin

When sam talks about watersports, most of us wonder which of the two varieties he is referring to...  he looks like the type Big Grin




I am a teacher of science, physics and chemistry being my specialty (Even though i am a biochemist) i have recently found myself teaching A level biology which meant doing LOTS of reading.

Currently a delivery driver for a luxury fashion company. Means I spend my day driving around London dealing with rich people. Compared to other delivery jobs it's not bad tbh.

Although not what I want to do forever.

Service engineer, so fix machines. Currently automated PE pipe welders and other utility industry hire equipment.
I move bloody expensive cars around the country. It's very, very boring but my driven car list ain't bad now Wink

Wow some really technical people here! I literally feel like the most boring person in the world now ha-ha.

No wonder most of you are good at fixing cars if you have jobs like yours! Smile x

I actually did a 2yr City & Guild at the local car factory when I left school (x-centuries ago), plus service my moped/bike of the day. ninja
