Right some of you may be aware that the 306 actually has two horn connectors but peugeot only ever used one. The other is cable tied up to another pipe/loom out of the way.

1) First of all you'll need to find a second horn. Do not use an air horn without the relay as it doesnt work! Pretty much any off a french car should fit straight away but if you want to be more adventurous we found that horns from lots of other cars had the same connection. For example we (myself and Toms306) fitted a volvo horn to a 106. Something different from the standard horn would probably sound best in order to make a two tone effect!

2) The horn is located infront of the passenger side wheel. To best get access to it you will need to remove the wheel and then the archliner.

3) You will then be able to see the horn. Above it and further towards the front there should be a second unused connector. You will need to cut the cable tie.

4) People have done this before by extending the second bolt on the horn arm to allow a second horn to be mounted above. However I found that it is possible just to turn the second horn upside down thus facing the other way and having the horn above the bracket. See the picture and it will make sense!

5) Testing time! Just the archliner and wheel to back put on and youre done!

Comparison:

With the single stock horn...

and with the two horns...

And there you go! Not the most useful guide in the world as im sure anyone can do it but at least its a mod that will be brought to peoples attention!

Ed has to adjust his setup based on if he had a shit before he leaves for work in the morning or not.
Doesn't everyone shit in the morning before going out anyway? Weight saving! Wink

Dave wins...............train horns FTW lol

There not real train horns. I was bidding on a set of horns from a train with air tank (was going to put it where my spare wheel was and charge it with a compressor). We're rated at 143db lmao

Niall I'm not 100% sure If Dave's were train horns, but he was running them off a compressor in the boot, which put a piston through the side of the block LOL! Sure he'll be along to confirm shortly!

Haha fair play. I still will have train horns eventually!
Have a look what you have fitted before you go swanning off to the scrappy.

Your horn should either have "L" for "Low" stamped on it or "H" for "High".

Whichever you have fitted, you want the opposite and then wire that in.

Instead of a weedy French "PAP-PAP",you should have a nice loud
German "PARP,out of the way peasants" horn instead lol
Or you could just adjust the tuning screw
Mate that is dedication!

Using a spare engine in the boot to drive a compressor for your horns.

I take my hat off to you sir!

That's exactly what I thought,"Man,they must be some feckin' horns to need an engine driven compressor lol "
Did you buy that tank on eBay a few months back Dave?
The numberplate is awesome 'meh'! Big Grin

Yes I did Big Grin Was £10 I think, and just jubilee'd a load of hoses/fittings in and ran a pipe down front... little £10 150psi compressor, wired the horns into stock button, job done..

Mot in a few days, they are gonna have fun testing that...

Ah you bastard! I was bidding on that. Have to collect it from Sussex?

Need to find something similar for mine.
ive got same sort of horns,
1 ebay compressor, had 2 but cooked 1 of them lol
want another again,
few bits of pipe, check valve,
6l foam fire extinguisher (£6, and WAS full :p)
then a seporate switch,
want to get the 2 on there again so i can run a full onboard system with auto cutoff

what pressure you run?
Right I'm going to try and get a fire extinguisher from work, empty it, put a valve in the side and charge it through that. Job done.
