was working when I bought it from a dealer. Kept it serviced regular ever since.
(that's 2 metal pipes (corroded), condenser (pin hole), & regular regas/check) Smile
Sounds like more than just servicing lol, most don't bother replacing those parts when they fail which then ruins the rest of the system. Confused
having enjoyed the benefits one summer, I decided never to do without it Wink
Do the glow plugs come into contact with the water at all? Or are they mounted into a metal heat transfer block?
The tips sit in the coolant.
Ahh okay fair enough. Was just wondering if I could take one out to measure up etc without loosing too much coolant and having to bleed it all out again
I've some I can measure next week if needs be.
If you can do that would be good Smile If I am going to replace them I am going to make sure I get ones that are the dead on size. May as well and I'm sure there will be a car with the perfect set.
Thanks Smile

The standard glow plugs aren't from a 1.9,  but even my local bosch specialist couldn't supply the original items and the dt ones are a close fit and similar power.

Did any of those cars have the later water cooled egr? I noticed that seems to speed up the warm up process when combined with the water reheater.
Nope, well one did, but it was blanked.
The thing is HDi Power, if it did nothing or at very least gave no tangible benefit then Peugeot wouldn't waste their money fitting it.
Surely they were fitted for emissions reasons? Cabin heat would just be an added benefit?
It doesn't do nothing but the effect I found was not amazing. I tested mine completely, I tapped into the control wires and had an led in the cabin to see when they were cycling on and off and checked all the plugs for condition as my car is not the fastest to warm up, All 4 plugs were like brand new when I tested (maybe replaced by previous owner??). I plan on checking it all out again when I get time as the 16v I have heats up about 25% faster
