Following soon !
Nice!!!! Good job
Please keep this thread up2date.
Brilliant mate!
Thank you ! I start to hear a hurry

Sorry for the thread :/
Bonjour, tes voiture est tres jolie!

Bon choix de moteur remplacement aussi. Wink
Never knew you spoke French Tom.... or was that Google Translate lol Tongue
Ha, GCSE French from 2008... Wink It might be all wrong though, his English is most likely better than my French. lol
I checked it Tom, not bad Tongue Not fully correct though lol
Welcome

A word of caution, If you're using RS cams with R valves and springs, be careful of valve spring bind.
They are right on the limit for handling the extra lift, the RS uses dual springs.
thank you tom, you reassure my English is worse than your french , you doing you good!

Thank you to google translator  ThumbsUp

Puggered : I kept my single spring XU10J4R you think there is a risk ?
So its a gti6 head on a 1.8? Sounds interesting. Good to see someone finally do it.

Measure your full lift, if it's over 9.65mm then there is a very good chance of bind.
I've done the same as what you have but I had to use different springs.

It's an XU10J4R head with RS cams not an RS head.
The difference between R and R

Left is RS
The cams are not the only difference.
R uses larger inlet valves with smaller exhaust valves.
RS uses thinner valve stems for better high RPM valve speed with double springs.
Better porting in the RS head.
RS uses sequential injection and ignition where the R doesn't.

Unless you plan on using a different ECU then the benefit is virtually 0 btw.
Your comment is interesting.

If I find RS springs it will already better right?

My ecu is the factory but there will be reprogramming ..

I changed the R injectors by RS
Interesting project, there was a lot of discussion on this a few months ago, might be of use to you. I *think* the thread was originally posted by eeyore in the xu section, hopefully that should help you find it.
RS stems are not smaller than R, they are smaller than the old J4, Mi16.
you can't put RS springs into a R head without machining. The spring seats and caps are different. 7mm vs 6mm. I'm not sure on the valve stem length.

The sagem ECU (if that's what you have) can't handle the cams from the RS properly and although I've never tried, I don't believe you can remap them.
To take full advantage you need to use either the complete RS head, Loom and ECU or the R head with RS cams and stronger valve springs (catcams do some I think) with the RS ECU and loom.
You also need to bore the R head behind the inlet cam pulley so you can fit the cam position sensor. (there is a blank there)

confused yet? Smile

I stand corrected, Welshpug is right. was getting my J4 and J4R's mixed up
For the XU10J4RS:

diameter exhaust stems : 30.8
diameter admission stems : 34.2

For the XU10J4R

diameter exhaust stems : 34.7
diameter admission stems : 29.7

And there as 1mm différence between diameter steems enter R and RS
no, the stems are the same as Welshpug pointed out.
Yes it is very clear, thank you  ThumbsUp

So if i put the RS ECU (magneti marelli) is better than R ECU (yes it is sagem, mp5.2) ?
better but will still need mapping.
the R uses Bosch mp 5.2 and is not friendly to map.
The 1.8 uses Sagem.
best option would be to use a standalone ECU and run non-sequential injection and ignition.
Yes it would be best to put a sybele but $$$  Phew
Hi !

I got a be3 / 5 with a differencial in 19x75 .

That is my lab  Rofl
