sorry for being a bit vague, but.......

2006 merc van, diesel, cam chain ( duplex ) 4 cyl engine.......2.2 or 2.8 litre...engine mounted for and aft, not transverse.....

the dash does not have an oil pressure gauge, nor low oil pressure warning light!!

the local shark says that these vans do not have a low oil pressure warning light??

is this correct??

I know that some of the new merc cars do not have a dip stick, but have a low oil level warning light instead, Germany reliability??

the van does have a low oil level warning light, but does not seem to have a low oil pressure warning light.

if it does have a low oil pressure warning light, is that next to the battery/charging warning light, or does it utilize the low oil level warning light ??

replies much appreciated.
Surely just flick the ignition on and look at the lights on the dash.
Get the manual out and you'll soon see what each light means.
iirc it'll be on the rev counter if you have one.
thanks for the info, no manual and we have declined this van as its a wreck!
