or remove the old one, replace the stat housing and drive down and compare parts.
My last TD ran without a thermostat for several years.

Its ECP, they're probably both wrong.
The bottom one looks like a HDi one, washer is wrong on it if that's the one you need.
Don't the 'extra info' sections give you a build date or anything?

Two say 1997. But they all say there for the same engine code (XUD9A)
Phone a peugeot dealer and ask for a price on a genuine one, it might not be too much and it is a lot less likely to fail and be shit.
