sorry what? you want to see pictures of other people fitting a gti6 manifold to a 1.8?

youll find that the water elbow on the back of the engine rubs on the gti6 manifold. I bought gti6 pipes but they dont fit as the bolt holes are different. You also need the gti6 thermostat housing as it has an extra inlet for some reason. Forget that though as it didnt work.

My manifold was wrapped in heat wrap. We took the subframe off as i was replacing it anyway. Alternative is to pull the engine forwards. I then used the original water pipes, cut the elbow down so it was shorter. THe hard pipe along the back of the block I left unbolted as it pulls too hard on the shortened elbow. I just cable tied it out of the way. Between the manifold and rubber elbow was about 10mm in the end so I wrapped it in foil.
I think something's got lost in translation.
I'm totally lost
