Need any exhaust bits??
I'm good for exhaust bits between what I have lying about and the 2 standard down pipes there is enough bends to knock something up. Just a major case of CBA as I f*cking hate wiring.

Have you got all the wiring diagrams for both?
They plugged together so I assumed they'd work, TBH it's not surprising that it doesn't work. Just sick of being underneath cars especially with being injured and bikes playing up. Jonny the midget has an amazing suggestion about using an ph3 1.9D loom which I think I'm gonna go with as that should make the wiring work and have roughly the right sort of plugs in roughly the right sort of places and will connect to the 306 car loom.

You mean you can't do it with a hammer, a welder and some cable ties so lose interest?
keep going man. ig you need any exhaust bits i can always send some old stuff from work to you at cost.

Never a truer word said in jest.
That is EXACTLY the reason

Cheers for the offer mate, Not much to do really, just a down pipe and there's plenty of space to work (compared to an XU lump). I've got 3 different but close sizes of pipe so can sleeve bits and weld them and just cut angles to make bends or cut bends out of old exhausts.

You guys really are helping with my enthusiasm for cracking on with it, top lads Big Grin
Any Ph2 onwards XUD/DW8 loom should work absolutely fine.

Although no need to fart about using the DW8 loom as that has all the advance ECU bullshit in it - a Ph2 XUD loom would be your best bet IMHO.

Only thing that MIGHT need changing from memory is to use a solenoid feed from the glowplug relay, but it's not difficult - all the starter pins, speed sense pins, oil pressure etc pins all work fine, from memory you'd need to just swap a temperature sensor out for the Bitron unit which is diff on Ph3, but then it should work. I basically did precisely this conversion with mine (just that I actually used an XUD, but same theory applies) just plugged in my old Ph2 loom and other than rev counter on the Ph3 clocks, from memory it just worked.
So selling as I now have a motorbike.
