Insurance quotes are going from £427 right up to £743 just for a change of postcode [Image: shocked.png] That's outrageous! I knew it would go up but never thought it would be that noticeable
Where are you moving to?
Where have you moved to? What prefix? Bearing in mind NR where you would have been is one of the best in the UK.
Yeah i've had that just by changing a postcode to the next street lol
Thats Walsall though hey, Ice Wink Mine went down when I moved out of Bloxwich 3 miles Big Grin

Thats shocking Ben! You moving to a nice area? :o
Mine went down 10-20% when I moved out here. Really makes a difference.
I'm moving from NR13 to NR1. Village of Acle to City of Norwich so I knew it would go up but can't believe its that much!
City centre...not surprised at all then! Bad luck. Sad
Thats mad, mine barely changed when i moved from the forest of dean into the centre of bristol, then out to stroud.

Not surprised its getting on for double?!
Nope, be lucky if you've got any wheels left after a week. Wink

But seriously, no not surprised its nearly double. Location plays a massive part in the risk and premium.
I take it your also changing from driveway to on street or similar and possibly from living with parents to something else that might effect risk?
Haha good job I've got a couple of sets. Looks like I'm going to get really angry about insurance prices every year from now then!

Both quotes are on driveway. Only other thing that's changed is 'living with parents' to 'own home'. But owning a home brings it down so that's not affecting it either. For example if I owned my parents home my quote is £416.
I live in the worst risk postcode Sad so mine will never get more lol
yep its all terrible. i hate insurance.
450 to 940 Wink thanks Manchester
Mine would be shade over £300 a year if i moved to where i want to. Instead, i pay £500 a year Sad
Im planning on moving soonish. I should really look up my insurance. Lol
mine was £270 but when to £140 by moving Insurance companys Tongue

Cheers I'll give it a try but don't hold high hopes. I've been with you before with my modified 306 but you were no where near competitive for my mk5 golf.

 Drastic is an understatement!
I pay about £400 but on my mates postcode who lives in Malton in North Yorkshire it'd be £102...
Turns out it was a good idea trying flux, they're good this year. I've paid 432 and can modify my car more now, and was told the quote for the new postcode was only 451! So we'll see if that's the case when I move in a few months!
