Hi all,

1. Engine ( Stock or modified )

2. Lubricants & Spec (Or any additive)

3. Any comment or comparison result for the product.

Thank you.

All replied are welcome, Both Diesel and gasoline engine.
I used 15w40 mineral in both my XUD engines, one was stock and the other Stage 2.
Put err, nearly 100k combined on those engines over 5 years of owning the cars.

Used some 2-stroke oil in the fuel as well, was running veg most of the time.
my xuds have had a mixture over the years

anything from finishing off all the leftovers of various 15w40 10w40 5w40

to expensive gulf competition 5w40 - which my engine always seems to decide to let go off shortly later putting in

best thing you can do, regardless of what you put in, is change it reguarly
10-40 whatever's on offer, and tuned yes lol, usually that carlube stuff I think it's called from ECP or Amazon Smile
I always use 10\40. Usually whatever we have in the barrel at work which is synthetic. I change every 3000 miles. Which is a little overkill but I like peace of mind.
Engine: Stock gti6 engine.

Oil: Total 9000 fully synthetic as recommended by peugeot.

Comment: It isn't dead yet and it isn't noisy. Big Grin
i run the castrol mag stuff, i think its either 15w40 or 10w40
supercharged gti6 engine oem internals

mobil 10w/60 with stp oil additive.
normally any flush
Engine : stage 2 hdi.

Oil: used many since I've owned it shell/triple qx/technolube etc.

Comment: not noticed any difference between them but tend to stick with shell oil now.
Engine: Low boost supercharged XU10J4RS with standard internals
Oil: Shell Helix ultra fully synth
Comments: Changed every 4k with a genuine filter. If you buy it from Opie, you get a free 1L bottle with a nice carry bag to stick to the carpet on the side of the boot Smile
^^^ engines shouldn't burn oil no need to carry it Wink

No but Peugeots do bleed oil! lol
Lol mine doesn't anymore since removing the heat exchanger and a new pair of diff seals.

Engine, Rotrex supercharged XU10j4RS
Lube, Morris lubricants 5/W40 fully synthetic. (Because I get it for free and is used for cars under warrenty at Mitsubishi main dealers)

Used it for about 45k miles the last 3 years supercharged at 260bhp engine runs silently.
Shell helix hx7 10w/40

I beg to differ, have you ever looked at Peugeot's specs for oil consumption? I'm guessing not lol, in an ideal world maybe they shouldn't but the smaller petrol's especially do and are expected to Smile
I've used 5w-40 fully synthetic triple qx £12.50 for 5 liters from car parts for less never had an issue with it, gets swapped every 4,000miles tho.

It's usually 5W40 the quartz 90000
I've used that until recently. Now using Motul Sport 5W50 as it's better for heat break down, fuel contamination and I get it cheapish

Takes ages filling the engine with those little sachets though... Confused

On topic, I tend to use either Triple QX, Castrol Magnatec or Shell Helix, 10w40 on any 306 I've owned, whichever's cheapest/easiest.  They don't seem as fussy on oil as certain other marques that I've owned lol.  Can't say I noticed any difference between oils.

Think I might of bought 5w30 by mistake then, will it make any difference?
All my cars run total 9k 5w40 so buy it in bulk haha
Total 9000 isn't too bad even buying single bottles. 23 delivered online for fully-synth, oem recommended isn't terrible imo.
Using Shell Helix ultra 5w40 on mine.

Used shell helix ultra for 3 changes in my old corsa as well and had the quietest timing chain out of a lot of cars and was on about 125k. No complaints with it at all Smile
