Hi all,

I am currently looking for a steering rack for my 306 based autograss car,

Can anyone advise me as to whether i will get issues running a pas rack without a power steering setup, the reason i ask is getting a manual rack is proving a nightmare whereas a pas rack is easy to get hold of at a reasonable price!

does anyone have a measurement from end to end of a 306 rack so i can make sure it will fit before buying one as the car is around 6" wider than a standard 306

are there any particular models that have a better lock to lock ratio for a quicker than standard rack?

Any help, ideas or suggestions appreciated!

Cheers
You'll have no issues running the rack, just a couple of modifications need to be made to get the best from it.

As for the length, I haven't got one to hand to measure, but I'd have thought you'll just need longer inner tie rods if you've widened the track.

The citroen Xsara VTS rack is the quickest one I know of, 2.6 turns IIRC..
will the xsara rack fit on the same mountings as a 306 rack?
Yeah, as far as I know it's a straight swap
I have a de-pas vts rack for sale. It's got 205 length arms on though. I've got a set of 306 arms brand new in a box I can supply
How much Paul?
