Alright guys,

My car hunts on idle. I can't find much info about this anywhere really and just don't know what could be causing it. It's worse when it's cold but it can still be there once it has warmed up.

There isn't much I could think it could be but I'm thinking maybe the maf giving a silly reading or something, or a bad set of earth's giving inconsistent connection or something like that? I'm leaning towards the throttle position sensor though tbf but I don't think I have any other symptoms of that causing any issues.

Any ideas what it may be? I'm going to have a go at messing with the earth today cleaning them up, adding new ones etc.

Thanks, Jack
Could be something simple like fuel filter/strainer in tank
Fair enough. Tbf I never did get round to changing the fuel filter haha. Need a housing haha
Try cleaning the fuel pressure regulator, this will most likely fix it.
Okay cheers. Will I need a new gasket/seal at all to do this?

Thanks, Jack
Yeah you may as well do it properly.
Suppose I will have to get it from Peugeot? I don't know anywhere that does them tbf.
Any diesel/injection specialists will be able to help.
You can get them on EBay, Darwin diesel sell seals etc.... I've never replaced one but its up to you.

If you do remove it I would recommend using a decent Torx bit as the securing bolt heads are very soft.
The strainer blocked on mine in the fuel tank just seen it.
We don't know that's the issue yet though, hasn't actually been cleaned and tried yet has it?
