Iv read about this on here but have never had to do it, im removing the A/c pump on a hilux, the pulliys have 7 grooves, so i need to pull the tensioner back wrap some string round the route and measure it, then i ask for a belt 7PKxxxx(whatever the measurement is) ?
Yep, sounds right to me!
I cut the old belt and measured it. Also mine was a 6rib, you sure yours.is 7?

Wait I didnt read.it properly. Don't worry aha
Yeah very simple just measure around the belt route and thats your belt route. If i was you, move any tensioners to their max position (so the belt route is its longest possible) then measure then just add 10mm on. That should give you enough to slip the belt on but the tensioners will easily take it up.
So i pulled the string/tensioner tight and got 1050mm the standard belt for the Non A/C hilux is 7PK1088 should i order one of those or get something like a 7Pk1065
I think 1088 may be a bit much to take up so personally id go for a 1065. If you go on the gates website, you can type in the length and it will tell you what cars its fitted to which makes like easier when ordering.
Cant find a 7Pk in the correct length range, think a 6PK would work fine tho
