Hi all,

Some of us have some obvious one 'tedsgti6' or whatever but some, such as me, ozonehostile (for example) etc are a little odd and/or quirky. So where do the names originate from?

For me mine is based on a character in a scifi story (yes I'm a nerd) I wrote 10 years ago (was published as an ebook and made enough £ to buy my first car) which in turn I took the name from a computer game title. If anyone here is old enough to remember the Sega Saturn? One of my favourite games was panzer dragoon, which had a sequel on the original xbox called panzer dragoon orta. And I've used it every since!! I use variations on it for ebay, email, xbox live gamer tag, etc etc

What about everyone else?
My name, I have a 306 and I'm from uk :p
Mine is my name. How original lol
BASH was my nickname as an apprentice. Basically got stuck with it. 8 years on and thats all people really know me as.

They called me it because I used to be a little bit of a weed not being able to undo huge stuff. They said I didnt have the energy cause I was up all night wanking/bashing.

Also nothing wrong with being a nerd.
Initials and year of birth.

My usual Username for pretty much everything is "Zedrate". Came from my gaming days when i created a character with that name and it sounded pretty cool.
I've used the username Dum-Dum in online forums since 2003 when I first registered on BMX Talk but I had been referred to as Dum-Dum before that.

To cut the story short I had the deepest voice out of all the guys I used to ride with when i was in my teens and they used to take the piss when I talked singing dum dum dum dummm, dum dum dum dummmm. I think its Motzart. Anyway it got shortened into a nick name.

It's kinda stuck as I'm too lazy to think up a new user name.

haha mine is my name too...
Matt obviously, cheese is from one of the bands I've been in over the years, a Reggae/ska band called "little baby cheeses" left years ago but was known at the time as Mattcheese, bass player was Davecheese and so on lol, 31 is part of my DOB Smile
Started using iceman from 2007 when i started watching F1 and became a kimi fan. 29 is part of my d.o.b
Was round a mates house all on the piss, my Mrs had gone upstairs, to sleep and left her handbag downstairs with us.
another of the girls there needed a tampon and was looking in my Mrs bag for one.
They found some "Extra wide" ones that she had bought because they were the only ones left.

Hence.
Dannywideboy.
Used to be my reg, now its just what it is. I wanted wagon mafia as my middle name on facebook but it wouldnt let me have it, but would let me have slam wagon (because that is clearly a real middle name) so i used it. then wanted a new username on here and it got suggested so i used it, also my name was already taken so it made it easier.
so SRowell is what my school username used to be so ive always used that.

SRowell3 is my gaming handle etc and username for pretty much everything else. The 3 comes from runescape. I made my original account with srowell and then every time i died i would make a new account as it was easier than trying to find all your items again. This happened several times and the third account 'SRowell3' was the account i kept.
When I was younger and couldn't say Harry. I used to say hajee... Then my brothers extended it to Hajman

Bit childish really
the exact story behind my username escapes me

Aha would you believe I've used that setup in ska and reggae bands also? Wink along with an old jagstang but hey ho if it works :p
Ah ozonehostile.....

Basically I was cleaning out a container in a workshop that had being used as paint and hazardous substances storage forever, came across some old tins of some fuel additive kinda stuff that had "this product is ozonehostile" on the label

Thought that was kinda cool, plus I have lots of cars so reflects my environmental footprint lmao

Really fat Doh
Yeah I was quite interested in how ozonehostile came to be as well! lol

People tend to assume I have big ears because of my username.....i don't. However, I've used this nickname for the best part of 16 years now, and it actually came from a very old friend of mine.

Remember those old Nokia phones that you could rename the sound profiles on, so it would display the name on the screen? Well he had "wingnut" on his (he DID have big ears Wink ) , and I liked the sound of it, so I used it, but I alternated the caps and added the z on the end to make it a bit different.

Pretty boring story really, but there you go. Big Grin
