Next oil change is looming and I may aswell fit the mocal oil cooler
Guna need smaller oil filter though.....so a renault fits supposedly?
Which one?! And is it the same pressure rating?! Disadvantages?? I change oil n filter every 5K so it being a smaller filter dont bother me too much
I ran one on my 106 I'll have a quick Look see if its got a part number on it
Didn't notice any diffence tbh , never had one on one of these
I know its a 1.2 clio oil filter on my alfa
there's enough space for the standard filter.

Has it!? Fair enough...I did search renault filter/oil filter sizes etc and didnt get anything that stood out
Yes it has been covered many times. Its the oil filter from a diesel megane 1.9 1996.

why is it stupid advice when there's plenty of space for the standard filter on top of an oil cooler takeoff AND the heat exchanger?
unless of course you have neglected to say you have some shit in the way, but you didn't say so did you wise guy.
PIGGY get off your high horse! that response is not needed!
i run a std oil filter on top of a mocal plate ontop of the std cooler
[attachment=19157]
So you guys who know it all are running 2.1 12v blocks?
And you guys have the radiator mounted futher back too?
And you guys would be running the thicker 2.1 oil/coolant heat exchanger?
And I assume you guys have a sandwich plate for oil temp and pressure take off too????
No? Oh ok, yeah, I'll get off my little pony now!
Well you didnt mention that now did you clever clogs.
I didnt need to....I wasnt asking for advice on clearance!
Or if other people with their GTis had any issues!?
Megane 1.9 diesel filter, running one atm
Thanks for the confirmation sam
I think from memory it's a halfords 266 oil filter
Thanks paul...no halfrauds round here (thankfully), but cheers anyway
(its good info for anyone searching in the future I guess)
In fact, I'll update this with some part numbers when I order a few
Good lad tom...will be nabbing one asap with some oil
i run a renault filter on mine, i always use a clio 1.8 16v for listing purposes.
