Hello all!

Got a mate to plug his autocom diag machine into the came back with fault codes:

Car is giving poor mpg, looking around online few peps have said a defitive injector.

Car running normally:

Car at 3000RPM:

Any ideas?? Please help.

The first 2 must be from the glow plugs, the second is from the first or second brake switch
First two are off a glow plug heated unit that sits on the gearbox, it has 4 plugs directly in the coolant flow to warm the cabin etc... up quicker. Don't think it's an issue as most of them don't work anyway.

Injection quantity is definitely unbalanced, especially 3/4
That's not miles out, how poor is the mpg? Any chance the maf is dead?
Is this for a 306 or a 307 with SID801 as the diagnostics have selected? Just checking?

The first two codes don't really matter, the brake switch is worth sorting as it can cut the power when the ECU thinks you're on the brakes.

The last one I can't find anything on google, maybe try Peugeot Planet instead? this will tell you exactly what the fault is
307 2.0 HDi 90bhp.
mpg not miles out, but goes at 2200 rpm when at 70mph, flow test shows cylinder 1 and 2 are the same and 3 and 4 are a little bit more, but both the same.
What goes at 2200rpm at 70, do you mean mpg drops at that point or IQ..?
MPG not miles out, i get about 40/45 locally, less than 40 on motorway!

How go you manage to be less efficient on the motorway?
That's pretty awful mpg, especially on the motorway, should be doing 55-60mpg at 70 on a motorway run. Worth a look at the maf imo, I don't know if you can test it the same way as the maf on a 306, might upset the ecu. I've got a feeling there's expected values for a healthy maf in the guide section somewhere, put yours on pp again and see if the figures tell you anything new.

Either unplug and try and see if it's the same. Or just try a new one to try and remove the maf as an issue.
If you have the diagnostics give it a hard drive and come back with the maximum reading and I'll tell you if it works.
Wont it be the heater resistor for the heating?

I agree go for the MAF but get a quality one - I tried 2 cheap one on a merc I had and they were worse than the faulty one - I got a bosch one and everything was fine - borrow one of a working car if possible to test.
You want siemens vdo.
Got a cheap set of recon injectors!
Inj no 3 was bad.
