Any one know any thing about the Garrett T250 turbo? Found on the land rover 300 tdi Engines?


For any one who does and who can advise me.... The T250 on my LR has quite abit of shaft play and is weeping oil into the inlet. I would say the play is above average of a well used turbo. Would there be any issue with just buying a new CHRA and banging that in there or is it likely to of caused damage to housing/ other parts making it not worth referbing?

You'll be able to see any damage to the housings bud. The chra makes up the rest of it, so yeah replacing that would be fine if there's no damage to the housings.
