ok, so drivers electric window just stopped today!!!

Switch will work the wing mirrors, but neither the passenger or drivers window.

Passenger window switch will work though.

Got a spare ph2 electric window switch, with no wing mirror adjuster on it...fitted that and no difference, however it is missing a power pin that the ph3 one has.

I assume I just need a switch...but anyone tell me any different?! Seems odd that it wont operate either window, yet passenger control still works Confused
Broken drivers door loom
yeah but then doesnt the passenger side normally not work as a result?....if you remove the drivers side switch it stops the passenger side one working. Plus theres power to the switch for the wing mirrors. Spose need to check wiring at switch for power/earth
Id put a drink on it being a broken cable in the drivers door flex
Power is supplied to the window switch in the drivers door in two cables iirc
ok, fair enough....too tired to go back out, tape and black bag over window in case of rain for now.
If your stuck, you can take the door card off and put 12v on the motor plug. Don't worry about orientation. worst that will happen is it will try and carry on going down so just swap your neg and line and it will go up
Yeah I had that in mind....just a farce to do when you've already had two showers to cool off and just poured some chilled wine!!

thanks pal Smile
split boot...wiring like new...but two pin connectors had gone blue with damp/corrosion!

good clean up, oil up, tape, and we are fixed!! thanks though chaps....

I had a feeling it was that coz I had spotted the split in the boot not long ago and forgotten to take care of it!
