306oc - Peugeot 306 Owners Club & Forum

After coming across a very strange electrical problem.

Just got this car so dont know history, bought with passenger window not working, told it was motor and guy supplied a reg, found out testing it wasnt reg, messed with door loom and discovered that when the door loom is plugged in the lights come on. as in sidelights, rear lights and dash lights. unplugged its as normal but as soon as ignition on with this loom plugged the lights all pop up.

Anyone seen this before or have any possible causes?
Loom wires look all good and im stumped

there will be a short in the loom plug or flex piece, between the window + cable and the ilumination wires for the electric window switch's

i recon its time to get the soldering iron out

forgot about the switch illumination, will trace them so. Couldnt for the life of me figure the connection.

Soldering iron out??? i own 3 306s and this is on my cousins one he just bought, the soldering iron rarely goes in.
This evening i have to fix me own window woes.
