Does anyone know of any places that do cam regrinding?
Is it safe to have done? Would have the risk of bits coming off or something?
Piper currently do regrind but with vat it comes to just shy of £200 which seems a lot for a reground cam.

Is that for a pair given it's DOHC? If so, that's about right I'd guess - sounds expensive if it's a single cam though.
Kent Cams do/did regrinds - I had some Mi16 cams reground to PT1601 spec a few years back. £80 rings a bell, but can't remember if that was per cam or for the pair - the later sounds more plausable and allowing for inflation would be a little over £200 in todays money.
Only reground cams I've had anything to do with recently have been with XU specialist Petert in Austrailia which I think worked out around £100 or so including postage both ways, although clearly that's not directly comparable.
There's no issue with reliability if done properly. The limiting factor is what profiles you can regrind onto the cam whilst maintaining the base circle size to be within spec for the lifters, hence usually it's only mildish profiles that you can get on regrinds.
I think Newman do regrinds too.
It's for a single cam, only having the exhaust cam reground. So does sound pretty pricey, I tried Autosprint as I heard they'd do it for £90 but when I emailed them they said he has 10mm and 9.5mm approx lifts and said he couldn't offer that specification.
Also is it alright for me to get a place to grind to piper specs? no copyright laws or anything with it?
Thats pretty expensive for a single cam regrind, IIRC it was a little over £100 to have the HDi cam done by piper.
That said it cant be alot cheaper than making new cams as they still have to get it fitted into the machine and press go on the right CNC program just like the would with a blank.

Have a chat with Finishline UK Ltd - a bodyshop run by Chris Bray who has successfully campaigned in the MGZR championship thing and won - he will know how to get the best from your engine. Speak to Chris as he may even have some old / used parts or discounts he could offer you...

Hmmm, wonder why theyre charging so much more for the zr cam

The inlet is variable timed and is like 4 small camshafts or something so people just do the exhaust cam

Seriously bud Chris is your man when it comes to the ZRs, he can take a while to respond to emails and it's usually much better to get him on the phone.
Wasn't it an upgrade to install a TF135 inlet cam into the VVC exhaust cam?
It's 2 half camshafts on your inlet side, controlled on one side by he cambelt, and on the right hand side by another smaller cambelt between pullies.
yeah the tf135 cam will give a small increase but it was the inlet on the 135 cams that was the biggest gain
The 135 has a little more lift but same duration (if google is right) , not sure if it fits on vvc because of the two sided pulley thing?
Anyway I'll message Newman and Kent cams see what they can do, also message Chris see if he has any bits lying around
