I know I'm probably going to get slated for this, but potentially thinking of getting something slightly more practical. Just bought myself a new bike, and need an easier way of getting it around.

Year: 2000
Model: Astor grey 306 GTi-6
Mileage: 103,000
Tax: 5/6 months
Test: Until Dec 2014

Project thread here

Stripped and half caged, but have got all the bits still to put it back together (apart from the rear carpet)

Start with the bad;
Drivers seat base has ripped in the alcantara
Drivers side wing has a dent
A/C doesn't work, but then again whos does?!
Purple handle on the drivers side due to the original snapping!

Mods;

Eibach pro -30mm lowering springs
21mm torsion bars
Rebuilt rear beam with brand new bearing kit from Peugeot
Citroen C5 steels (4.7kg per wheel!) in white (could benifit from a re-furb)
Longlife mid-sport stainless steel exhaust
Meyle HD wishbones
BakerBM Gear linkages
OMP upper and lower strut braces
Team Heko wind deflectors
OMP trecento wheel
Pressed plates and surrounds
Fresh magic tree

Looks like this, except now has black masks and a purple handle!

Would be looking for around £1650

Now please don't shoot me :'(
Sorry dude as mint as this may be (was last time i saw it under its last ownership anyway!), its not going to be worth 1650. Id say more 1500 asking looking to take no less than 1400. They really are hitting rock bottom at the moment IMO but will hopefully start to become a bit rarer soon and start to rise a bit.

£1500 I'd take, any less than that and I'll be keeping it! Does put a huge grin on my face, but no so practical for lugging around £4k of bike haha

I know what you mean, they aren't to practical but are great fun!
They seem to fluctuate in price heavily. When i bought mine, it was £1500 and that was quite cheap for a good condition standard 6 but 6 months on and i would of been lucky to £1100 for it. Now, they seem to be on the up again but not quite to the levels I've seen them before in my 306 history.
£4k bike!? Christ, will be gutting if someone's steals the 306 with that in it! Confused

I cant believe they're still worth so much tbh, twice as much as a HDi and 3 times as much as the smaller petrols!
Get it advertised on some track day enthusiast forums? I too think the price is optimistic given the mods - may be better to cut your losses and sell the mods on separately?
Whoever get's this car is one lucky bastard!

Well that wasn't what I had imagined in my head, but could work!
Intense M3 = Serious winning
Kona Stinky = Serious shite. They are stupidly heavy!

Tbh I'm well out of touch with modern bikes now. Haven't really been interested in bikes for the past 5 years now but getting back into it Smile

Would potentially swap this for an estate or something similar!
Any interest at £1500? Need something more practical to go biking with!
Id have the cage Big Grin
Get a bike rack dude. I prefer the ones that go over the tailgate but each to their own

I've got one, but need something more economical ideally too.
