My front passenger window has seized up i believe. I don't know when it was last working as only owned the car 16 hours. It was working when i got it.

When i try the switches drivers side and passenger side the window sort of jolts about 2-3mm up or down (depending on which way i press it obviously)

Is this common? Any simple fix...

Mine occasionally does this when it's not been used in weeks.

Normally getting a hand either side of the window and pushing downwards on the glass with someone else pressing the switch frees it off and it works fine from then onwards until it's left again for weeks. The motor and mechanism are both clearly fine so I'm sure that it's just gummed up seals and runners - I just haven't got around to stripping it down and cleaning/lubing it.
Seals do have green "gunk" along them so it could be that then ...will report back when i have finished work and give it a go
Turned on ignition, pressed the down button on The window switch whilst pushing down on the window from the inside and it released straight away with hardly any effort.

Cheers buddy, i was thinking id need to remove door cards etc...

You have save me a good hour or too. Gonna get some fairy liquid on the seals tonight.
Glad it worked - always good when it's a nice simple fix ThumbsUp

Shame that "nice simple fixes" are few and far between when it comes to 306s though, ey? lol
I dunno... turning up the stereo to drown out the rattles is easy isn't it? Big Grin
