Neglected the thread again as been busy preparing for expo. Clutch came and is now fitted (great news!).

Currently in the process of running the clutch in but run out of money to do 'twat laps' of my local town.
Performed a little pointless mod to my headlights. Ph2 inners are now coller coded which i think personally looks pretty agressive

Started touching the pain up again in the traditional ''no fucks given'' style

And of course some more bay tidying as per the norm

So yeah.. all in all the car has bounced back well and is more or less ready for pfc expo [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES][Image: e3589e1649f3be65ca69f0f51f606a0c.jpg]
Glad to see its all back together, Keep us updated on how the clutch is doing. Seen a few people use them and so far all good feedback

Well ive done 80mile on it and still slips under heavy load but it is very early days
Cg say a 500 mile wear in period I think from memory so don't worry yet man. Probably just got to wear in. Hope its going ok though
Ahh fair play, counting down the miles atm.

Just had a nice random offer from the guys at stancefrance.... starting to think i dont give the shed enough credit

Its different. People like different man.

Still comes as a shock. I look at it and see a shed and all the problems its caused me
I used to look at my 2.1 and think why. Why all this cost. It should've ended when I killed it but its people like that push me on to go bigger and better. All the positivity your car gets you should be proud that your shed has come this far.

yeah, got people pushing me in the right direction, want to see stage 3 next year, tucked and smoothed bay and some liberty walk style arches to ditch the stretch
Nice. I want to smooth my bay and paint it a ludicrous colour. But keep everything externally the same.

Where do you live fella? Just talking to piggy about his seats for sale
I'm in Suffolk near Ipswich.
Few pics of the slag at pfc expo. Not really got much to say on it as havnt had to fix anything yet.

Seems the slag has had another tiny post in pfc aswell as pointed out by chris lapit, will eventually work my way up to a feature [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

On a brighter note adam fields presented me with an adapter plate for a gt2052s that needs minor modifications to work (leaks on exhaust). So looks like i will be collecting parts like 406 mani, down pipe etc. Over winter to do this start of next year .
And also piggy done me a sweet deal on some bucket seat subframes and sliders so looks like seats, harness bar and harness's will happen in the next few months
Do you not like bonnets?
Nope [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] no point having a clean bay you cant see
Where do you put your bonnet on show day?
Where ever i can hide it. Sometimes under the car (just fits)
I love this car, made me really want an estate, couldn't find a decent enough one near me though. Great project keep it going Smile

Don't forget about this! They will snap.

With your roller wishbone bushes, how thick were the washers on the front bushe?

They were pretty damn skinny fella but had to sort my own out as bought the wishbones 2nd hand. Think about 1mm either side
Cool nice one, I'm in the same position. How is it driving with them?

Also how much did the replacement bearings cost? Just weighing up whether to rebuild them first

And is that a gti6 strut brace?

Drives spot on. Would never know there bearings. It isnt just a case of bearings with these. The p-bush has a cone that presses onto the wishbone that wears out to. Replacement bearings and the cones from lynx came to £60 but its been so worth it!

Yes gti strut brace. Just gotta bend the ecu bracket forward
Nice one
