Sooo this weekend alot of magic has happened thanks to a good mate aggy. Went over to his garage a did nothing but play with the car (and fall in love with his 205 again as per normal).

Anyways.. first thing on the list was cambelt change. Never done one befor and never want to do one again [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY] with aggys help overseeing and guiding we managed to do it but the first time we over tensioned it so the belt whined. Much better then not doing it enough and slipping a tooth but of course it was all re adjusted up correctly
[Image: 50fb9ee1d7fdaa717f1dcda2454d2b1b.jpg][Image: f1b765d9518563315fa0e2f93a49ad17.jpg]
Afterwards the first bakerbm mount was fitted up on the drivers side. Once that was on and the engine was back in we looked at the aux setup. Having shreaded the belt we had to run to boston motor parts direct to get another one closest (30 min drive to my annoyance). Once we had it the new belt was fitted with the lynx pulley.
All well and good then fitted the gear box mount and lower mount. If it wasnt for aggy that mount would not of come out [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY] we decided to do it on the car, heating a knife up to cut the bush out. Once the center was out aggy set about caving the pressed ring in with hammers and anything that would drive between it. Once the new powerflex was in we kinda realised we should have done this one first as it was mission impossible to mount the fork because the engine would barley move.

While all this was going on i was doing a little number on my front brakes. Had found one of the sliders had bent so set about adapting one to fit, which only entaled cutting it to the right lentgh [Image: 33dd41e9b91bbe6af78892b20b67a3a0.jpg][Image: 2d7304a3180cee952ede0e9f1d0a82f2.jpg]
Once done the slider holes were cleaned and re-packed with fresh grease. New disks were fitted. Then was just a job of re-assembling.
While we tinkerd a lad came round who strips pugs asking about remapping so managed to strike up a deal for some 30mm bolt on spacers. had to remove the stud conversion and thread them into the spacers which also meant cutting them down.
Having gone full retard on the fronts so both front and rears poke the same im begining to think small bolt on arches may be needed.....

Only other job that was completed was the carbon wing mirror covers. Anooyed me mega carbon made then as an over cover yet futted better without the originals underneath. Solved that my ripping the originals off and tiger sealing the carbon to the wingmirrors [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
Never doing a lower engine mount again :-S
An awesome project; but quick question, how does the lower/rear mount fit, does it just slot in or does it need pressing in?
Lower mount is in 2 halves and just slots in either side
Getting the old one out is the problem lol, not the new one in!

Looks as though you got plenty done!
Yes Tom especially with a fmic pipes in the way :-D
Lol, even worse then! lol

This is progressing well!
Cheers Smile
Haha just saw the video, was off to leicester to take a mate to collect his civic. Cant go anywhere without getting picked up by another member now [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]
New battery clamp arrived [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] every little helps to tidy the bay. Just need to get some threaded rod to fit it [attachment=21840]
Well had a look for some rot the other day and found the infamous patch near the seat belt. [Image: 98c3966d41986d6cedb241f62f931ccd.jpg]
Found up a mate whos brilliant with this stuff and told me to head over to get it sorted. As we started cutting in we realised it was slightly bigger. Than as we inspected we found tye the rear boot pocket was rotten also had spread to the bumper mount. Was a real mess but my mate made light work of it. Even had to tell him to stop being pretty with it when it came to the pocket as we were losing light. Any way just wanna give a shout out to my mate jonny watts for keeping the pug shite alive a lil longer [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][Image: 5c4fec8ee240eeff912bf373dbf7ff7f.jpg][Image: dd7b2acb96985f75e638aa1d92c82d4d.jpg]

At least the pug is now rot free.. as i was pretty useless to him while he worked his thing i started blending one of the arches back in for somthing to do [Image: 2c6a97cab47b69dfd24bbd4f9450dd5b.jpg][Image: 9cb1376044500bff12b1953525c5e7f4.jpg]

Cheers theres still lots to do atm weather permitting Smile

Right so mate finally encouraged me to change my brake pads and help him do his rears as he's a newbie to the whole french estate thing lol. Pretty much just a regular pad change only got roped into painting mine and his calipers. [Image: 1b6d9a2f1d485691f23dcbcbdbdada8c.jpg]

Bit more prep for fcs [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] painted the strut brace matte black to blend it in with the plastics
[Image: 415ef4123b5a6e06d0cc7a919e77a611.jpg]
Made a start refurbing the wheels to decided to go for hammerite hammer effect black which has come out an amazing dark gunmetal with metallic flake. So far done 2 of 4.

Couple more bits to add. All four wheels are now sprayed and had enough left over to do extra bits so strut brace is now the same rather than matte black, engine caps and wiper blades. Aswell as this made a start prepping the body work for a re-rattle and polished some engine parts up. small things make all the difference right?
