Fitting the nozzles won't mean it over fuels, once mapped in it could run virtually like standard ones if you wanted. When you're after higher injection quantity they will allow it to be squirted in faster as they flow more, this combined with more rail pressure should keep things in what I like to think of as the 'safe injection zone.

^^^^^^^^ That's how I understand it anywhoo, I'm sure Steve won't have a problem with them as they come off an 8v JTD which also runs EDC15c so injector calibrations are available.

Just going to throw it out there, I've just mapped a 16v motor with 2.2 injectors that's got just a simple refurbished R70 pump, using 1320uS duration which equates to about 90mm^3 @ 1550bar and it's requiring ~64% FPR DC to maintain that pressure at 4000rpm and it's holding near enough that out to 5000rpm, quantity is dropping by then. Pushing pressure any harder just makes the injectors leak like hell and the pumping efficiency drops like crazy. Just need to get some logs in of how the pump is performing at lower RPM to see whether there's any more torque to be had.

As long as the pump isn't wrecked, they'll put out more fuel than you can realistically use with the size of injectors anyway.

Just remember that JTD _nozzles_ being put on to HDI bodies does not mean the calibrations are transferrable...

The struggle of mapping is why im just happy to run stock injectors atm. Dont get me wrong. I might get power hungry again once the fresh build is in and start seeking tips actively again but for now im happy with the stock

Good luck with the engine build, what power are you aiming for? Surely a safe reliable 180bhp/300lb ft wouldn't be that much slower than a full power build. Not to mention much less future problems/various costs involved too.

Liturally that id be happy with. Yeah ive spent some serious money this time round and gone ott with arps etc. But its literally been the chase for reliability. Found the second i strapped my gt2052s on i ran into constant running issues. Hence the gearbox setup just to make turbo tweeks 100x easier.
The way i see it is ive pushed and tweeked a stock engine on a hell of a budget and got good gains out of it for not alot of money, hoping ive learnt from my mistakes enough to know what i need for a reliable build.
This car is still 100% daily aswell

Prefer the simplicity of the 8v head anyway, plus ive got a shed load of spares now coming for free. Can never say no to a spare complete head [emoji16] people say they snap exhaust rockers but yet to have one go

Ok so abit more content. Tried to reinforce and make the turbo bracket stronger and prettier but in essence warped and f*cked it with heat distortion. Mocked the turbo up just to see how it sits and gotta admit im pretty damn happy. The bracket will be last on the list to make now, got no refrence points of where the turbo should sit so gonna have to fit the downpipe and line that up in the tunnel with the vbands to find the correct resting place. Other odd jobs have basically been just painting random shiz up like the injectors and polishing/lacquering there hard lines, other engine pieces been cleaned off with a wire wheel too and lacquered.

Yeah. Not convinced a couple of ends are sealed so gonna mark them up with electrical tape to keep an eye on but the pass the tug test

There just the torques_uk hose finishers so its just a jubilee underneath onto the original plastic barb. They do the quick fittings in AN but there a tenner a fitting and considering theres 18 ends that would need to be AN tyats soon gonna add up[Image: 22061b4f9d2de7d70eba941839aa02c9.jpg]

Yarp but tbh im not 100% on how to measure them and the price did scare me, though that is the price of quality.

What rad upgrades are people using these days? Looking at the 180sx rads. Figured now could be a good time to make the leap.
Starting to strip the front off the car with the limited tools ive got access to atm to discover my coolant mayo'd heavily! I guess the issue wasnt the heat exchanger in the end [emoji849] seems more cost effective and a good time to sack the old off for a new setup.

Just get a new nissens OEM rad.
You won't need anything bigger than that.

Consider Darren's build... He has got a smaller rad than oem

Hmmm have got one in the shed boxed. Needing all new pipework. Dont wanna risk oil in the new engine. Never seen water ways so clean

Pulled the car over to its new home for a while last friday and tried to have an attempt at stripping bits. Utterly failed getting the front end off. Realised the low profile jack is currently sat with my partner after having to do work to her 208 [emoji25][emoji25][emoji25][Image: d1ad0b90b014e14e86e717f5d51abcaf.jpg]
Picked at what i could and just scabbed a few bits off the engine to make a start. Already feel like the strut brace wont be fitted to the new engine but yet to see if i actually commit to getting rid of it.

At that point now with the new engine where im stuck needing more parts specifically from peugeot. Dont seem to be able to get an exhaust gasket anywhere offline. Been refunded four times now from all different companys. Cant find the metal thermostat to head gasket anywhere either, nor the o-rings for the plastic water feed on the back of the engine and vacuum generator. So dealership jobbie it is after mod nats.

Gave myself a massive kick up the arse the other week to get this done. Tbh im shocked how easy it was to rip the lump out having never done one before. [Image: 3e3c851a169b1e938db3a6d392276bcd.jpg]
Had a look around the lump and realised just how f*cked she is. Only two salvageable components were the turbo kit and r70. Everything else is well and truley knackered. Even the clutch, again!

Didnt have access to a jet was so bought some "gunk" from halfords and had to agitate the oil by hand then wash it off with a hose. To say it took hours was is understatement. [Image: 6f804227d38960cb8954b94376ebc70c.jpg][Image: 2f8293a76f2b149667e4fd77203dffd3.jpg]
Still she came up pretty clean for an abused bay. Began ripping the hell out of the bay with brass wire wheels to get it back down to raw metal. Some minor gubbins have been removed but nothing major.

Then came the colour and lacquer. Ended up pussying out of the kingfisher bay and instead went for astor.. Hoping it looks presentable but certianly alot less in your face then i first thought. Wouldnt say going from the gti setup back to the 266's was a noticable jump tbh though its still not confidence ensuring being attached to a heavy weight. New wheels are on the playing cards soonish so aiming to upgrade the milk bottle tops too. Unsure what to go for tho. Limitations will be the 16" but wheels should have alot of clearance in the backs unlike the blasted steels i run now

I'm impressed with the bay!!  Looks like a very good result for spray cans.

Get lots of rubber mats or stick on clear vinyl.

Also...ensure its fully hardened before you go near it!
