Have intended to fit a new hub a few times when ive had other jobs to do down there but always gets put off. Got a local scrappy i can get one dirt cheap off but thanks for the offer. Also hate helicoils which is why i just shrug that option off every time. Trust a nut and bolt over a helicoil any day! Id soon know if the nuts loose too as theres only a nats cock of a gap between that and the disk

Got crank seal in today and clutch tool and oil just arrived... just waiting on the f'ing clutch 😑

I literally will send you the hub for nothing bud send me your address and I'll post it to you for friday. Literally just need to put a wheel bearing in it and your away [emoji1303]

Theres several 306's there so i know i can deffo get one. Nut and bolts been on for three years.. im sure she'll last another two weeks to get me to the scrapyard when the cars rebuilt. Got a small list of bits i need to source too and can rest assure it is on the list.

Aggy i couldnt get the play out of the hubs i had off you on the wheel bearing and i cranked that thing solid on the castle nut [emoji23] the others you had were 16mm to you only had that 1 pair of 18mm

No worries fella the offer is there if there needed ThumbsUp

Hopefully the clutch turns up soon what you gone for 4paddle unsprung?
I had about 4 sets of hubs and nothing a new bearing wouldn't have sorted.[FACE WITH STUCK-OUT TONGUE AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]

You know the plan now anyway.. wanna get an oil cooler on, oil temp gauge and it past mot then thats it for her till i get a place. Will still make small bits for it at work like stainless rad pipes, cooler pipes etc but thats it.. no more money on her but to fix probs

Yea I don't blame you. You need to draw a line somewhere

I want to keep it but a place is more important. Just hope anything from here on out will cost peanuts to fix if it goes. She dosntbreally need any more mods. Thermostatic cooler is just to help things along if i do give her a hiding.

Thinking im gonna be insured on leannes (my partners) car when we get her one and that will be used more than my own. The estates just gonna be a toy

Right now ive got somthing a tad odd going on i cant get my head around...
If i push the clutch all the way shes a sod to get into gear, yet hover the pedal 10mm off the bottom and she'll go in all day long. Never heard of a clutch over depressing tho?

Pedal bite is about an inch or more from the top but its confusing me

Probably worth Noting that I'm running a 306 dt clutch and gti flywheel and it hasn't actually slipped yet running the gt20
Thats how ive fitted it but looking back at the pics the fingers could be contacting the center. Compared my clutch to two other cg solids and it even looks like ite been assembled incorrectly in the factory as the center looks like its flipped the wrong way

Is it a CG clutch?
They once sold me one that overstroked like that and refused to accept it was a problem, suggested I weld a new stop to the back of my pedal if it bothered me so much.

Yeah its exactly what it seems to be doing. Contacted rob this morning who spoke to cg.
Apparently ive fitted it correctly and the center has been riveted correctly though it seems different to the others.

Ive never changed a clutch cable on her and just wondering if that could cause the overstroking feeling. Can the overstroke cause damage? I cant hear no metal on metal sounds as my fear was the fingers of the pressure plate would touch the friction plate center

Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Ok so clutch overstroke seems to have sorted itself out... was gonna look at a manual cable but dont think its needed.

Been having a few low life problems and seem to have shagged the fuel cooler so shes hanging on by not alot.
Looking to remove or relocate it now. Hoping just to get away with removing it.
If its possible my plan is to re-lay all the fuel lines. New reinforced rubber fuel line with the cooler removed fixed along a similar route with stainless steel p-clips for added strentgh.

Also planning on finally fitting some cooling fans. Stage 3 combined with hot weather has had her running pretty hot and ben having to shut her off in traffic. Want to strip a stock fan loom down to use with slimlines.

So with this plans in mind went to the scrapy. Found myself various fuel fittings that shall help with my plans for removing the cooler[Image: b302ded6a4314f58e2bdef7824904074.jpg]
A drivers door check strap as mines broke off... closer look to the door ive noticed the holes have teared in the car door, may have to weld it or straighten and bodge with penny washers

Any thoughts on blistering brake calliper paint aswell? Used hycote brake calliper paint, wire brushed the callipers clean and cleaned off with brake cleaner and seemes the paints bubbled under high braking

Don't remove fuel cooler btw, you'd be amazed at how much it does.

Not to mention, if fuel gets too hot, it'll just seriously limit power. There's a good reason they have them - I promise. If you don't believe me, plug in Peugeot Planet, monitor fuel temperature and go for a drive.

Could relocate it using a small oil/transmission fluid cooler in front bumper or similar, would get it out the way of shit in the road that way.
I've not got a fuel cooler and never had any issues and not felt a lack of power either

OK brilliant.

Only giving some advice on something I've done testing on!

Had thought about this and was my main fear so glad its been mentioned... if i increased the lentgh of the fuel return pipe and sat the fuel cooler behind the torsion bar do you think id still get enough pressure and lift to get the fuel back in the tank?

Ordered some 076 injectors earlier as got some major injector tap going on (not the pulley as run a billet lynx). Think ive got these pretty cheap. Out of a recent crash victim with low miles and been stored in diesel which is always a plus.
[Image: 48680c681d7da4f6fa1f8d4d27802b43.jpg][Image: 1906a294d0a41e9c72a8840a89d2e675.jpg]
Hoping this sorts another problem out too. Had white smoke for a while if the cars left on idle then given a good rev. Shes not using water and the engines warmed up enough when it does it which rules out condensarion in the exhaust. Been advised it could be screwed injectors which would go in hand with the very loud tap. If not 076's are never a waste at that price!

Also bagged some stainless angle from work. If the mot go's well planning to treat the slag to a thermostatic oil cooler aswell as slimlines to keep engine temp well in check. Angle should make perfect brackets.

As i final thing aswell i think i badly need to look at my induction setup. Theres no secret that shit saps power from the build. Taking insperation from piggy im plaining to relocate the filter in front of the fuse box and then box that area off with a plate. Ontop of this then run a cold feed from the fog directly underneath the filter by hole sawing the inner wing. Gingers crossed that goes to plan and dosnt look to crap....

If your going to sack off the plastic return line I'd look into using copper line and that should help with cooling the fuel down.

My estate seems to do the same as yours a bit with chucking a bit of white smoke out. I changed my injectors back along which has helped it a bit but it still does it a bit. Doesn't seem to be effecting anything so i haven't worried too much. It seems to do it when reving it up on the spot and sometimes when driving it fairly slow with very light throttle on.

Should be absolutely fine - you're not adding much more head to it anyway, just ensure you use the same diameter pipework at least.

Exact same description as what mine does. Was told poss over fueling on the spot

Had a look at some trani coolers and think its deffo the way to go. They just look ideal for the setup.
[Image: 7ce57a0dadec1bba466e9d34237a09a8.jpg] think worst case scenario is maybe a small inline pump yo gain the extra lift. Wouldnt even have to be that powerful.
All seems abit extreme but ive ripped it of once to often and if i dont do somthing soon think this could be the next think to see me stranded.
Toyed with the idea of nicley presented copper pipe laid through the car but dont think its viable in a carpeted daily [Image: dffa10a90b260fef6aa702ff7bd02ccf.jpg][Image: 2b97e2309cb3bfdc1006a55ef6bdfc84.jpg][Image: 82f6bf43e3d26b69250fdd2d6c842a37.jpg]

Very tempted but still dont know if i prefer mine a rough 'n' ready matte rattler. Think im just to scruffy to pull off the clean car look and not sure this is the type of build to turn showcar [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

Ok so couple more small jobs ticked off. Rebuilt the rear brakes today. Again for mot prep. Found were the gators were partially damaged the drivers calliper had siezed on the sliders. Genterly lifted the gators and shat aload of copperslip under there. Proceeded to free it off and seems to have done the job. Tempory measure to pass mot as thinking of getting another calliper as a slider kit is the price of one. [Image: 7f6d02c98ac3595d6ee70e7004689482.jpg]
Re-undersealed the boot again. Attacked the surface rust with a wire brush and unleashed a can of comma underseal under there and then sprayed a spare can of hammerite over the top to seal it in. Think in the future thia is gonna need a wire brush on a drill and aggresivley attacking as surface blisters are now forming[Image: a12172b1bcac57ac07313259ada0c00b.jpg]
Ended up scraping the egt gauge off. Wouldnt work at all no matter how it was wired. Just read a constant 200° which it reads as soon as you switch ignition live on. I know it wasnt in the correct place but still would expect it to increase even if it read wrong. Began re-plumbing in the boost gauge as found the original silicone i fitted had split on the long route i had fitted it in (passanger foot well grommet up through dash) and have now taken it neatly through the top of the bay
[Image: ffb810e58a287f6027aba147d0023650.jpg]
Moving the manual boost controller to inside the car aswell. Just waiting on the new one to arrive
[Image: 687c8ccd57c7565486ae92278cd9b4c2.jpg]
While in the bay found the gash garden hose i was using on the expansion tank had been leaking so fitted some nice silicone inplace too and hose clamped it

So spontanously decided to go to cromer carnival car & bike show yestoday. Mainly an old school hotrod/custom show but was surprised at the attention the pug got. Mainly from old boys. So many cars reving up in the end decided to join in and unpluged the maf for a little more pleasing soot https://vimeo.com/178897456
Not gonna bother posting all the pics up but heres two of my favorites from the show. If no one knows by now im a sucker for a rat rod then you should. Absolutley loved this beast
