Hey I thought I'd make a progress thread as it might mean I'll get more done quicker!

Keeping the interior pretty oem, maybe a few extra dials boost etc.

I'm sure a few saw my list of bits to do on the newbies section but I'll re-write it here, in no particular order.

Stage 1 Remap (with Cullys help sending my map to pro Steve!)

Lower it, not too much (missus will kill me)

New alloys, maybe some clones or something a little different

Decat

Clean up the bodywork and sort a few dents out.

Oh does anyone have a ph3 glovebox? Mines knackered haha
Looks good! Exhaust getting done now!
Update!

Jimbo and Craigus helped put on the Decat and straight pipe!

A bit of expert welding and driving the car onto some concrete blocks and it was done.

Still had it's original exhaust system from new. Loads of dodgy welding and a split in the cat but it's all replaced with a custom made one from mikeyb. Here's a few pics Smile[Image: 6ymejyte.jpg]

Sounds epic now, compared to before anyway haha
Yeah, have to agree on the front fogs situation....

Get your stage 1 on there and will be a noticeable difference.

Everyone is literally that racist in Devon.
OK mate! Smile
Oh the car is Sherwood Green Metallic. Anyone comes across a near side wing I'll love them forever n stuff
Tony has gone off to visit some family and left the car at mine…he’s given my a list of bits to look at on it (cheeky) but the main point was to get her lowered.

So picked the car up on Sunday afternoon and with the help of Frosty, we set to it to drop the axle.

Few pictures

Something to get us started, incentive from Tony Big Grin

First job, removing the locking wheel bolts as some helmet lost the locking key.

No pictures of before but shock bolts were a pain along with the eccentric washers (Standard though). So this is the Passenger Side arm and it came off fairly easy and the bearings remained intact

Drivers side was a little more of a sod but it came apart with extra persuasion

Bearings intact – torsion bar still stuck in :S But we got her out and set the height a mere 60mm drop.

The car, bit stacked in the shed tbh

The extra persuasion required

Greasing her up, ready to refit

New Washers and grub screws

Frosty looking pleased with himself

And back on the ground outside, looks broken tbh

[Image: 79F83145-49E3-4BFF-B14D-E8B8BBCDE059_zps3gf4n2rb.jpg]

Had a white cyclone lying around, so just fitted it to see what it would look like.

Few Peugeots kicking around now

[Image: D6647E00-81DB-4062-A2C8-7E962C021C6A_zpsnvpmys01.jpg]

The plan is to drop the front tonight as Jimbo has built up some other shocks and springs so I believe he is popping over to help, along with Frosty.

Watch this space ninja
Loving this.... I am a cheeky fucker but you lot love the abuse Wink
Job well done I say. I only ever look happy when rear axle is all back together Smile
Front Lowering Time

Well James and Frosty came round yesterday evening and we got the HDi back in the air.

Got the droplinks off and tapped the hub off the strut.

[Image: 7B295356-5FBF-4C28-9E70-3519FDFC55A9_zpsa4k7knpl.jpg]

Jimbo had fitted the fresh springs on to another set of shocks so simple case of remove and refit.

[Image: 028E34C8-CD74-4D14-9F32-D1A62859FD34_zpsdgbmsztp.jpg]

While it was in the air the exhaust had a bit of a rattle so Frosty addressed that with some washers and tightened that back up.

Backed her outside and this is how it sat

[Image: 3BF35E15-9A86-4A72-AADE-B6509BCEE23D_zpstbe7k5ip.jpg]

Quite surprised how level it looks as we didn't know what to expect from the front springs. Its just screaming out for some different wheels.

Attached the spoiler with some tiger seal so left that in the shed for it to dry.

And also got the spring off the clutch pedal which has given a better feel.

Next is the PAS pump leaking and sounding a bit rare, so hopefully get that swapped out.
All this while I'm on holiday. Think I'm gonna have to buy you lot more ripper!!!
Just had a remap from JP and well.... Wow! Stage 1+ and it totally changes the car!

Only problem seems to be my lift pump, causing it to cut out and point of increased fuel delivery at full throttle. Phoned JP and he kindly rewrote the map and adjusted a few things and it's better!

Change lift pump and get the 1 + back on!!
