Its my first 306 so be nice, theres a small gauge under the rev counter, its goes from min to max, what is it? I thought it was the oil pressure gauge? How do I know if its working correctly?
It's the oil level gauge.
Mine goes up when I turn it on then back down.

When the ignition is switched on, this
indicates the oil level:
The reading is only valid if the vehicle
is on level ground and the engine has
been switched off for 10 minutes.
- needle in zone C, the oil level is
correct,
- needle in zone D, check the oil level
using the dipstick and top up if necessary.
Never exceed the maximum level on
the dipstick.
The oil level indicator switches off
approximately 15 seconds after starting the engine.
I swear this gets asked once a week at the moment! lol

and then turns into a boost gauge if wired correctly whistle

That would be a nice mod but it would be very difficult to sort out as you would need to hack the instrument controller.

Interesting, I hope it can be done.

Did this ever get done/work? Was thinking about it yesterday and thought itd be pretty cool
Just to bring life back to this thread. Maybe there is parts list or general thought, to get this working as a boost gauge of any way (turbo boost, oil pressure, etc.).
in theory if you add a resistive pressure sensor to pin 19 on the engine loom plug at the chassis leg
you should get a reaction to the oil temp gauge on the dash.....

IF THE WIRES TO THE DASH HAVE BEEN INSTALLED IN THE STD LOOM

if the gauge reacts quick enough to boost change that's another problem
