Like the title i spose, my friend bought this from some utter lady garden, realised he couldnt have radio (which the seller knew about and basically told him it was his problem now) so me mate ended up just buying a new one. Then he asked if i wanted it because i dont have one in the 205 and it will never be a priority, so he said if i dont have it its going up in the bin and here we are. I dont know anything about ariel cables so i dont know where to start with sorting this.

Anyway heres the pics of what im dealing with.

get a new plug from maplins and solder it on
or
cut it off and use crimps or chokblock

Can get them a bit cheaper on ebay so will cut the old one off and put a new one on :p

Will update this again when its sorted. Hopefully help someone out in the future

Cut the plug off strip the casing off wrap the wire round the aerial job done /epicbodge

For the 2 quid the new plug cost i think i'll do it that way

Yeh a few quid on a new connector and youre all good What a lady garden not to mention it when selling!

Don't know why people can't just spend a couple of quid on a proper fix!

Yeah the guy sold it to my mate, then basically made it out to be my mates fault when he said hang on this things f*cked. Sad really. Just want to put it to use because i will never buy a headunit for the 205 theres always something else to spend money on.

Seems to be working well if i put a screwdriver in there and hold onto it :p Hopefully when i plug it into the car all is well
