As a lot of you may know I'm a big fan of Peugeots, family history etc.

I enjoyed the 306 however I've always wanted a 1.9 GTi 205! I had a 1.6 a while back but that was a shed!

So here we have it, little bit of fun and something to enjoy, it's 100% standard and original except for the previous owner deciding he would have the wheels refurbed in metallic black. I'm only the 5th owner it's spent all it's life in Hampshire and has a mass of paperwork giving a full service history.

Overall it's pretty good, few small jobs to do like get the bonnet sprayed but other than that not too much. A quick tidy round yesterday and it looked like this

I'm not sure on the wheels, any opinions?

Is that 170 or 117K?

I note that it comes with extra random screws in the ashtray.

Glad to hear it mate Wink good to have you back Smile
Looks sweet, I love the wheels...maybe need some red rim tape?! Photoshop perhaps!
Needs silver/anthracite wheels imo. Black just look lost in the arches

Yeah screws are there as I've just replaced all the inflatable seal and mechanism around the sunroof just to make sure!

She's 170, FPSH so not too bad, at the end of the day it's 22 years old

She won't sell. Asked many times. I'll get pictures when I next go past.
Yeah, I didn't quite realise how few and far between standard ones are to find now.

An absolutely mint restored 309 sold on the bay on Sunday and honestly it did look the bollocks, fully restored it made £2k!! Absolute peanuts in my view and anyone else in the know, however to a lot of people they aren't as desirable
Looks like a great buy! Sounds like your going to be keeping it original and I can see why, but incase you change your mind here's a picture of one of my favorite 205's for inspiration. Don't know who's it is I just saw it at FCS a couple of years ago and really liked the wheel choice and how clean it was.

That looks great buddy. How much did you pay? I think the wheels look good.
Is the car big enough to accomodate you!?
Enough lol, yes Sean it's not too bad, just a rather different driving position!! Lol
That is absolutely stunning! I had a 1.6 a few years back, was a shed but still amazing, a day when I set off for Cumbria in it at 3am on a Sunday morning just to drive all the passes one after another while they were deserted is still my favourite driving memory, belting along in the early morning summer sun with the sound of an XU echoing off the hills, absolute magic.

Lovely car! Watching this with interest.

If you want to prevent water coming in through the sunroof I'd advise you to get hold of an air line or something and blow compressed air down the drain tubes to clear any blockages. This is a good way to clear them if they're blocked but can't hurt to blast them clean anyway.

Just make sure they haven't detatched from the sunroof under the headliner...trust me that is annoying! Itwasntme
