Looks like an external sticker to me.
Super super quick! Thank you!

Been looking for a uk version for ages....
Yeah, well y'know....social lives are for losers. lol
I don't get it... Confused
What, the sticker or the social life? Tongue
Well both in all honesty! lol

But the sticker's red... Undecided

doppler blueshift innit

/science

Basically, if you move quickly towards a source of light, the waves become slightly compressed, this decreases the wavelength and the light looks slightly blue. I think a calculation suggested you'd have to be doing 40% the speed of light for it to happen though.

Its like the dopper effect, but with light waves instead.
Epic sticker is epic!
Ok, so now im feeling a bit thick. Thanks Chris. Dodgy

Oh I see, that's pretty cool tbh then! Big Grin But surely it'll never 'work' if you have to be that fast?
im wondering how many people will actually get that, i didnt and like wingnutz i feel slightly thick lol

Think about an ambulance coming towards you with its sirens on, then the sound changes as it passes you.

When its approaching you, the waves are squashed together, the wavelength is shorter, making the frequency higher.

As it passes you and moves away, the waves are more spread out, making the frequency lower

Java thingy!

You'd need a least a stage 2 HDi , with cyclones and a 40mm drop to get to 40% the speed of light.....

haha i got it after it was explained with all the science words lol. Science was never a strong point with me

I got that bit, I remember that from school, and often recall it as an ambulance or similar shoot past, but I didnt realise the same theory applied to light!

Also, surely you'd need more of a 60mm drop to achieve 40% of the speed of light? Wink
So its a nerdy funny sticker? I guess thats cool.

My colleagues will love it!
That is awesome!! Haha

Exactly. I believe it's called "geek-chic"

Well 40mm lower is 40% lower which equals 40% faster.

Right guise?

Ah,its all falling into place! You can't go 100% lower, for the simple reason that it would mean you could reach the speed of light, which isn't allowed!
