306oc - Peugeot 306 Owners Club & Forum - MOT booked for the GT :-/

So mot is booked for the 9th. 9:15.

Bit nervous.

The only ball aches I can see is the fact its a non airbag steering wheel...and there is no ABS....as in, no sensors, no ABS unit, no light, nada, nothing.

I hope to have cullys resitors in for airbag light to function...but I have a timer board/relay, and not sure if I should set it up to have the ABS light come on and off with ignition, or just not bother and claim ignorance due to the car not having abs.

(Hoping they too will do a letter saying it is now a diesel, it is a 2.1 and it is not hanging by a single bolt...to satisfy the DVLA who wont change the V5c without this!)

Doubt the abs willl be a problem, and aslong as the airbag light isnt on then that shouldnt be either. And an engineers report you might have to pay extra for.

They said the MOT guy be happy to do, doesnt need to be a full report thankfully.

Not sure if just leave airbag light as is (removed) or make it work proper.

Think this sort of thing all depends on where you take it.

U cant fail it if the airbag light does not illuminate.
However you can if it works and is constantly on indicating a fault.
Im an mot tester and thats what the rules are

what about the ABS?

Abs will need to work if.

U have a pump wires or anything else making it obvious.it shud be there.
However if thered nothing to suggest abs was there or cant prove it theres nothing they can do.

Id say it shud pass as is

If the abs system has been removed it does not need to work iam a mot tester to work with jimbo above it was in a special notice a while back hope this helps and as jimbo said leave airbag alone if the light don't come on it fine
