Have you seen my new cruise ship yet, it's std height and I love it...for the moment lol
Nice VW mate
Now going looking...
Edit: I don't need to raise it. I has sumpguard!!
Love it, but think I preferred how it looked at the beginning of the thread personally. It's a bit too low for my tastes too, but I've never really understood 'scene points' so I'm a bit of an old man in that respect.
How does the car tax work? 1.8 > 2.8 is quite a jump! But being pre-2001 it would probably be the same rate anyway?

Thanks
I like it. I don't understand this scene thing either, I do what I like, I've not done one single thing to my car to please anyone else. Some people love it, others hate it, some really don't understand and I couldn't give a hoot either way!
Tax is the same. Although I got to admit I've not got round to informing the DVLA yet ( they are useless anyway..). It's all declared on ins though and cost £102 extra with the new engine.
No......
How do you find your D1 spec nuts?
Mine look like they're made of chocolate.

My first thoughts were "Christ these are light!" Tbh I'd prefer them in steel but I've had no issues as of yet

Have a pic. Still not finished yet though
I'm afraid I'm not a lover of white Stu
Looking nice in white
Liking the white, anythings better than silver..that's just a colour for people who can't decide what colour they want, it's the magnolia of the motoring world! What finish is it? Can't tell on me phone pics
very nice stu! is it a private plate? or is it a 93 plater? if it is, that's a cracking car for been 21! not a fan of the white, what made you change from the sliver?
my dad had a coupe in a lovely blue, with white interior. it was very lux! shame he f*cked a round with a few people, so they gave it a paint stripper and acid job, destroyed the paint work!
For me it was a change of shell, ( metro)

surely white is for those who cant decide a colour??
Not a fan either I'm afraid stu. How did the finish come out with doing it outside?? hope it wasnt windy!
goes well though, kudos to that
Sorry to come across negative Disco but I think white would only look good if you did m-sport colours to break up the large white surface area...
PERSONALLY white or silver on a large car looks bad, too much surface area of a boring colour...I hate my silver barge!!!!!
Uber chavtastic M stripes on a non M car? Nah, not for me tbh!
It's a '92 car procta, the only things that were rusty were the front wings which I replaced. Just fancied a change really and like Matt white
It was windyish but the finish is pretty good ( with the odd bug!) would have been better if I had somewhere inside to do it though tbh.
I'm not fussed if some don't like it, we all have opinions! I've had this nigh on five years now and everything I've done I've had to scrimp and save for, I'm not a rich man.
Ps. It's pissin out pas fluid now. The joys...
Ha ha about the stripes colonel chav-tastic
It's been 5 years... saying that you got rid of the DT not long after I got mine
If we're talking Matt paint...black?

Ah man, the bugs would be hidden in black!!
The gt spoiler is going black. I tried twice to spray it white and it reacts with whatever it's painted/coated with. Poxy thing.
Gotta sort pas leak first. Can't be arsed 'til Sunday though.
If i was ok on photoshop, I'd black matt your whole car [HEAVY BLACK HEART]️
Oh and sort out the PAS as it's quite handy lol
Everybody does black when going matt... At least white is different.
The white is growing on my mate, well done [WINKING FACE]
So much love for this car
I like the white think it looks well mate
Can't see the bugs in the pictures that's all that matters
Oh dear!
How did that happen lol?
That's not good!
As above, what happened?
I hit the sump on a errrr.... Catseye. There I said it
