so weird one...

ph3 boot lock, so no key.

it jammed on locked at castle combe, so I got in via back seats and popped it open.

then it worked fine for a day. this went on for a week.

Got bored of it. So checked wiring loom between body/boot. Looks like new.
Checked lock. Seemed sticky, so stripped down, greased up and it was loads freer. Tried it dozen times and all well.

A car journey later and it did it again.

So swapped lock servo motor.

And its done it AGAIN! grrrr.

what am I missing here?!?!
long shot . . . the rubber adjustable things at the bottom corners of the boot, maybe screwed out too far and holding it tight? like i say long shot . .lol
I'll have a look! I'll take a long shot!
Not sure this is of any help but here we go,

Had this on my phase 1.

Have you taken the locking unit apart?this:[Image: peugeot-306-boot-hatchback-locking-motor-120-p.jpg].On my phase 1 there was a nylon cog that is connected to the motor. One of the teeth on the cog had wore and occasionally would jam.this might be your problem.

I bought a refurbished one on egay for about a tenner.
thats the servo motor.

replaced it already. Same fault occurs
Did you check the loom all the way back to the plugs in the rear quarter? If its a new loom might not have been pushed in tight. There's also an earth point around there somewhere iirc.
bugger

So, now WANTED: boot servo motor!!
