Some belts do have arrows on to show which way the belt should go

Well I've learnt something there, didn't realise belts were directional either.

What happened to the engine in the end, did you swap it into your 6, did it start ok?
Kinda left with a cliffhanger

lol its still on the engine stand in the garage
I am regularly turning it over by hand

but it will go in the six when that engine expires
but its not giving up yet!

lol..well if you ever need to test it out, my 6 could do with a new power plant

where'd you get the engine stand from?
