306oc - Peugeot 306 Owners Club & Forum

Recently 5th gear in my HDi has been messing about, started off when decelerating but now happens when accelerating and decelerating, it make like a rubbing noise not so much as a grinding noise, can't be the clutch as it would do it in all gears surely? Will try and get a video of it so yous can hear the noise anyone any ideas..?

Could it be a wheel bearing? Try dipping the clutch when you hear the noise. If it's still there it'll be wheel bearing.
