I used to do this as a hobby. 'Slot cars' had some pretty smart ones too :-)
Always used to take them sideways haha
Had a truck that could spin on its pickups so I would get it to the first corner spin it round. Run back up and spin again to cross the line stupid fast haha

As of yesterday you can get 3 points and £100 fine for doing that! Be careful! Haha
