Yup, after 6 months of driving the most obscene car in the area around without any bother.. I got stopped. Well, i didn't get stopped, but two officers in a Traffic A4 followed me to my house and pulled alongside as I parked up.

The result? Nothing. Diddly squat.

The only thing they mentioned concerns about was the poke of the rear tyres. We had quite an open discussion about it, I suggested that I could get slightly wider arches made up, he explained that while it's a grey area, in the event a kid or something was near the car as it was moving, it could get caught by the rim and dragged under. Fair enough.

So yeah.. the only thing they could comment on was the rear wheel poke, and even then they just said "if something were to happen".

Boring, eh?
Again...

Two nominations in as many days, i'm on a roll.

TBH i was pleasantly surprised with the attitude of them, refreshing.
Makes a nice change I suppose.

I did expect a lot worse when I opened the thread TBH. Atleast you had a fresh MOT to wave under their noses if necessary i suppose lol.

Yep, seemed to be a get out of jail free card when i told them I just had it MOT'd and spoke to the tester about them. Even had the certificate in the car just in case aha.
To be honest, i have always found that the police are very fair with you if you are with them. All these people who moan that the police unfairly pulled them up and gave them a hard time, chances are they had a right attitude with the copper from the minute they got out of the car.

That's the right attitude to have tbh and that's how I approach the situation usually. However some are on a power trip, or don't like to be told they are wrong.
