can anyone recommend a good diagnostics kit that would worj on most cars and vans, and that would read all faults and turn off engine and air bag light and not overly priced. just seeming can i make a bit of money in my spare time.

not one bit of kit will do all cars
do some reserch then pick a group of cars that one bit of kit can handle or buy more kit for more cars

Depends on your budget, and its not just as easy as plugging in a scanner and reading a code, there's a lot more to it.
