Morning all,

I've still got my engine from my old diablo (low-speed front-end last year, chassis leg took the damage, hence a write off, but the engine is perfect)

Ran brilliantly, pulled very well imo.

I've removed the gearbox, flywheel, thermostat elbow with sensors, crank pulley and fuel rail, but everything else is there (I can even chuck in a set of coilpacks with it if required)

I have a very comprehensive history from the car, showing servicing (I even have receipts from one previous owner who was so super-OCD he kept a log of every time he filled the car, what grade of petrol, how much it cost, and a receipt to prove!).

It is currently filled with 10w40 Gulf Competition fully-synth, and I changed the oil on it every 6k or so...

Cambelt was done by Lynx in early 2011, but the engine being off the car, it would be silly not to change it when it's so accessible!!

So what do we think it's worth?

I really don't want to get into delivery, it would be collection only from Chichester area.

I did have big plans for it but it's just not going to make it into a car in my ownership unfortunately so I need to get some money back from it!

Cheers

Ed
So it's no crank pulley, flywheel, fuel rail or coilpacks?

With manifolds, £200

Without, £150.

You can buy complete engines with everything still attached for £300 if you look around these days.
Fair enough. Tbh I'd be happy with £200!
You might get lucky and get £200, especially if someone wants a bare engine and already has RichW tasties on his/hers.

Unfortunately with so many bits missing you're never going to see more than that. By the time someone's sourced all those bits, on top of a £200 asking price, would be less hassle to have got a complete engine. Mileage isn't so important on these, bear in mind Miles is still running 250k or so on one of his.
Ed, I'm looking for another bare block to strip down and get busy with (oooh errr).

If you can work on the price, I'll pick it up next time I'm down in the area.

Hi mate,

cool, pm me your offer and we'll go from there Smile
No more than £150. It's sat for almost a year now with out being moved or turned over once. Imo the buyer would be silly not to take the head off, do the gasket and check everything over seeing as it's been sat.
im with niall at £150. i got £220 for a complete one on ebay about year and half ago and that was 98k so in the same ball park and that hadnt been sat for a year
Ok, thanks for the input guys Smile
I would say no more than 150, i was going to sell the engine i have without manifolds for around that mark, but i cba with sorting courier. and i have two sitting on a bench.
Remember it also has no PAS pump as it's on mine Tongue shouldn't effect value though
shit i forgot about the PAS pump!
Seems like £150 is the new going rate then!

I'm surprised Matt hasn't called dibs on it pre-emptively prior to the inevitable next hydrolocking/cambelt/headgasket failure... Tongue

My nephew may be interested in this mr noids
Let me know Jonny Smile

Can we keep pointless spamming out of this thread please. The engine was not a tapper.
Bit of a thread ressurection, this is for sale at £120 collected from Chichester. Tell yo friends Smile
£100 collected next weekend? Can give you a deposit!
PM'd Jonny; surely you're not collecting the weekend of fcs?! I won't be there!! Lol
Oh yeh lol! Can't pick it up then! Will have to be weekend after bud! Would rather do a bank transfer tbh! Don't like paying PayPal lol
Ill give £101 for it?
f*ck off nial it's for me nephew! Help get another 6 back on the road man!!
to be honest, i dont need it. I already have too many car parts in the way lol
This available?
This is Prov. Sold to Jonny at the moment mate, I'll let you know if anything changes though!
Thanks, no longer required.
Back up for sale due to a time waster Wink
Ha ha you dick! Not my fault the s16 came up for sale! Also not my fault you bought a car you can't afford tyres for lol
El Bumpo!

Need this gone chaps, as Jonny alluded to above, tyres on the Meg aint cheap!!
Ed it might be better for you to sell this broken up. Slightly more hassle but realistically, no one will buy an engine that hasnt moved in 15 months for no more than pennies.
