I'd rather pay the £5 extra for a new one with warranty.. Thanks anyway
Just to clarify to anyone who hasn't realised - this is a Silverline item and not a Dremel.

I say that for the benefit of both Ben and a prospective buyer to save disappointment and hassle of a return etc.
cheers Dan thought i said Silverline in my topic!!! good eyes
Bump up
Sold!
Just out of interest, how did this compare in terms of performance and durability with an actual Dremel? This would definitely be useful but I cba spending a fortune on a Dremel. However I'd save for one if it was that much better!!
This is what I'm going for, for the same reasons as you Ed:

Don't know how good it'll be, but it's not much to find out
That's what I'm thinking Curt, nice one Tongue I'll buy one when I've got a few spare quid (best get it before MOT really then haha!!) and if it breaks then no real harm done Smile

Cheers
to be honest the tool is ok but the bits supplyed are shit! ive got one but
im guessing you could buy better quality dremel bits to fit the tool though
The cheaper brands are ok tbh for a lot of applications, but my cheapo one (still cost me £30..) wasnt happy cutting carbon fibre and the spindle got out of balance after a few months.

Managed to find a genuine Dremel in Cash Converters for £10 and picked up a genuine set of bits for it and it's been amazing. Something like the Silverline would be fine for light use but wouldn't recommend for a likely heavy user
Silverline ideal for small DIY, craft jobs.

Anything larger or tougher than a single sheet of A4 wouldn't recommend. Bought it to speed up the process when I was making boost gauge vents but then didn't have time to make them so this has been sitting in garage for nearly a year lol
