Bought some 17inch challengers off a scrap 307 for £60. The current tyres are 205/50 17 and with 10mm spacers on front still touch my coilover springs. Any ideas on spacer size needed. My coilovers are ta tecknicks wound all way down with helper spring still in . Any help much appreciated
i thought they needed atleast 15mm on the front?
205/40/17 tyres might help
Someones giving me 16mm spacers to try. Hopefully that will solve it. Also getting smaller tyres
10mm spacers minimum but you need 40 tyres. I think oilbuner is running 45 tyres.

I know my 17s on 40s were close.
Tyres are too big. I run 205/40's and with 10mm spacers
Yep ditch those 50s tyres.........
Cheers the help guys. Hoping they will suit my phase 1 better than clones
No im running 40s too, 50s wouldnt even fit under my arches

Oh thought you was on 45s Smile. I need to cut down my studs but I really cba. Smile.

Edit: I need to fit coilovers, service, cam belt, proper clean and more. But I really cannot be arsed :p
I hav some 2x 10mm spacers, and longer bolts going if you need some,
Ideally you want spacers a little wider, the challengers ate ET31 and the 306 is designed for ET18 but a little lower than that looks good so 15mm is fine.

Tyres with a lower aspect ratio will also help because although the tyres themselves wont actually be narrower you have less sidewall height and so less sidewall bulge under the air pressure and im guessing that your only just rubbing on the bottom collar.
It touches on the spring of the coilover. Got 10mm spacers as it is and it touches. Gonna try some 16mm spacers see if it helps
Which bit, the body or the adjuster? if the latter buy a shorter spring
