This has most likely been mentioned before, but my Haynes manual states:
"A pressure-operated switch operates a warning light on the instrument panel in the event of excessive boost pressure developing".
I wonder how high the boost has to be. I would name it my "fun light'.
LOL, where does it say that?! Never seen it before but if its actually in there then 1. its total shite and 2. LOL (again)

It can't be right Darren was running 60 psi ha ha unless that's not high enough
That would be funny every time you hit boost!
Yeah it's an 'overboost' warning light, never seen it come on though.
Clearly it never worked from factory, being French n all
welcome to french engineering.

They probably mean the STOP light to be fair, although I can't see boost setting that off...
Mr Lobb, prove me wrong!
didnt even know they had a boost warning light
Rofl, it does say it in the haynes! O my.

It's not the page, its the section.
It's 4D, the chapter 17 labelled "Turbocharger" paragraph 4 does say it

No idea but would have thought that if it existed then someone would have seen it by now!
I don't understand the fascination abound here. The warning lights are detailed in the owner's manual. I've known about the overboost light for ages now.

Mine dosent have it either, stops at 4,D,16.
Mine does 1993-2002 and defo includes HDi as i used it to rebuild my engine.
Out of interest what issue is you guys's
Mine is a 2005 copy right and has ABCDEFGHIJKLMN and a 3
My copy is a 2006 publication, and has ABCDEFGH 3 written near the printing info.
Where it says 4.D.16, that is the page reference. If you look in the text below you will see more numbers (Which go up to 22: Exhaust system). The paragraph in question is in section 17
Edit: And it's definitely in the XUD section
