I have done a search but can't find a straight "yes" or "no" to this one......
I have another ecu for my car but it is locked, is there anyway to unlock it without
having the key present?????? obviously for security if there is a way a pm would be fine......

thanks

jamie
simple answer yes

long answer
you would have to have a chip programmer, strip the ecu down, read the locking chip, then modify the code, and reprogram the chip in the ecu with the new code
then your ecu would be unlocked

Thanks for that, would you happen to know of anyone who can do this for me???
search for user whippy he might be able to clone your existing ecu onto the locked one
meaning you have two ECUs that work with the same bsi locking system on your car

he has said he has the tools to do it but not shure if he has actualy done it yet
Whippy can't do it.

Go to cartech electronics online they charged me £50.
kent was that £50 to clone or to unlock?
Unlock mate. Sent it off. And recieved a few days later unlocked.
That's great, ill give them a call and get it sorted!!!!

Thanks
