306oc - Peugeot 306 Owners Club & Forum

Just brought a 2.0L HDI estate yesterday. Was up last week for £1250 and i got it for £850 Its only a daily as my xsi HG went 2 months ago so just been looking around for a estate for ages. They all seam expensive or mission away or very high mileage.
This has 133K 11months M.O.T and month of tax, cambelt was done around 78K

I knew the bodywork wasn't the best, dent in drivers wing with little damage to drivers door, scuff on front bumper both side, drivers side fog glass smashed, hockey stick clip broke and rear bumper top *shelf* paints missing

Went i got there all seamed well, interior is mint!!! bodyworks a little worse than i though but not bad. popped bonnet and its missing the engine cover and is quite dirty underneath needs a good clean. Looked at dials and the low coolant level light is on. checked all fluid and there all ok and he says the light comes on and off for las 3 years. Theres no sign of it leaking from anywhere and the light did come off and on, on the test drive so guessing faulty sensor. Also taps a lot but stops tapping at 3K so no doubt injectors which is a easy fix also was nocking front f/n/s have jacked it up but its too cold to check might take it to garage but i think it might be a buss/track rod/wheel bearing issue. For the price tho im happy to spend £2-300 on it to make it a good daily Drives very well and brakes well although shudders alot on heavy braking which is a issue... brakes where replaced a few months so might be warped or its a wheel bearing problem... last problem is rear wiper doesn't work but all electrics work which is good

Plans are.... well.... service, fix problems, upgrade wipers and keep it standards although im tempted to mod it.... I will get a good 2nd hand wing, and debating to get 2nd hand good bumpers aswell or just pay to get mine painted and smooth them at the same time... I do have gaz coilovers from sooty so could put them on but ill wait and see

Please euro it. I love euro estates. But no one seems to have a decent estate....

theres 2 i love, birks old one which i would of brought if i knew it was up for sale was like 3 days late and also another one with black bolt on wider arches forgotten whos its is... but ive got to finish sooty first! once thats done maybe mod this haha....

Do the opposite to sooty raise it off road tyres and a hanch v8 haha
