April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - THE_Liam - 16-01-2013 Right, for the camping meet I was thinking a BBQ might be a good plan, and a mate of my dads is a wholesale butcher. Everything he does is top quality and really cheap, and with me coming up on the Saturday morning it'll be plenty fresh having only travelled from Leeds which is about 80 miles. I can post up some prices here and people can pick what they want and I'll order that, or alternatively if people want to just send me a per head amount I'll just buy a huge selection of meat/bread/cheese/sauce and people can just eat whatever, I'll stick up a poll so people can say what they'd prefer... A few prices: quarter pound Burgers (lamb or beef) - 50p each 6-8oz rump steaks - 5 for a fiver Beef rolls (basically rolled brisket, amazing rubbed in BBQ sauce and slow cooked) - 2 for £6 Boerewors (30 inch, coiled beef sausage in chilli, garlic or plain flavour) - £3.99 or 3 for a tenner Sausage - £4.55 a kilo Pork spare ribs - £1.96 a kilo Pork chops - £3.65 a kilo Lamb chops - £5.95 a kilo Spicy chicken wings - £2.15 a kilo Chicken fillets - £4.85 a kilo Chicken legs - £1.75 a kilo Everyone just paying a given amount would be easiest, but lets see what the masses want. I was thinking for as little as a fiver a head I could get a pretty epic selection.... RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - Matt - 16-01-2013 Put me down for Burgers beef x2 Burger lamb x3 Boerewors x2 Pork ribs x2kg RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - samass - 16-01-2013 I'll have lamb burger x1 beef burger x1 8oz steak x1 plain boerewors x1 and half a kilo of chicken wings half a kilo of ribs else im happy paying some moneh and just chowing down RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - kingy - 16-01-2013 Got any horse burgers RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - THE_Liam - 16-01-2013 (16-01-2013, 04:28 PM)kingy Wrote: Got any horse burgers Nah, 100% certified nag-free burgers these RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - Niall - 16-01-2013 4x Quarter pound beef burgers 1x kilo of sausages 1x kilo of spicy chicken wings 1x Chilli Boerewor Boom! RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - Jonny81191 - 16-01-2013 Id rather a price per head, fcs was a pain sorting who had what. Wouldnt be too bad providing Liam has a list of who has what. Ill be bringing a small bbq as well and im sure a few others will so at least we wont have to all try and cook on one like fcs! RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - Dum-Dum - 16-01-2013 We have a good sized club BBQ niall. RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - Niall - 16-01-2013 Yes im quite aware of that but it would make life easier if we had a few separate ones as well. RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - Dum-Dum - 16-01-2013 Per head sounds good to me. Even a fattie like me would struggle to eat much more than a fivers worth. A burger a steak and one of them super saussages would be a good dinner RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - Poodle - 16-01-2013 My only concern with the price per head option is that the more popular items will run out quickly, some may miss them altogether. That said, FCS was a royal pita... This will be considerably smaller though, won't it? RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - Dum-Dum - 16-01-2013 I think the price per head option we could actually supply it cooked at a price so the club gets charcoal money back too. Also although yes its price per head id be looking at orders of roughly what people want and sorting it out that way rather than ending up with a tonne of shit chicken that nobody wants. RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - THE_Liam - 16-01-2013 Yeah, I think that might be the way to go to be honest, if everyone says what they want I'll get pretty much that, call it a fiver a head, and anything left over after food and charcoal I'll just get a couple of crates in? RE: April Lakes Camping - BBQ Thread - kingy - 16-01-2013 IM AVIN TROUBLE WITH MY PaYPAL SO CAN I PAY ON THE DAY?
